Why hate Valentine’s Day?

Being in love is like a drug. You feel so high and great in the beginning and when you get to the middle or the end, it’s like a come down where you wish you had never fallen in love. Funny thing is, if someone were to ask you if you would do it again you probably will, whether you said “yes” or “no”. Just for the feeling of the greatness of the high of being in love, is worth every minute of the after effects. Even the memories of the feeling can be worth it.

Some say that love is so over rated, they only say this because they have not been in love, can’t seem to find it, jealous of those who have it, nor had their hearts broken one too many times before. Love can seem to be over rated around the holiday we like to call Valentine’s Day. But, those who are in love and have that special someone to spend a special day with to celebrate, isn’t that what they are suppose to do every day they are together, Why have a holiday for it? Some may think that Valentine’s is to make money off the little gadgets and gifts that one buys for their lovers and if they don’t they are made up to have forgotten about their spouses and set up to be the bad guy.

I think those who love each other should celebrate the holiday if they wish to and those who do not have a special someone should wait and not make up their minds about the Valentine’s Day who knows maybe next year they will love the holiday, if they love someone else!

Remember Valentine’s Day is not about buying flowers, candy, and stuffed animals it’s about showing the one you love how much you appreciate him or her.
